Coupon.JP is renewing to ClaimCoupon

Coupon.JP has been rebranded as ClaimCoupon.

Coupon.JP was originally provided as a "claim-based" coupon app for the Japanese market, but we received significant interest from overseas merchants as well. Given the positive results seen in overseas stores that had adopted it, we decided to make it globally compatible and have now launched ClaimCoupon for worldwide distribution.

This article will explain the background of this rebranding and the main changes.

Background of the Rebranding

Coupon.JP was an app developed for Japanese Shopify stores. Although the "claim-based" coupon mechanism was created for the Japanese market, we received unexpectedly strong interest from overseas merchants.

This interest stemmed from the inherent strength of the claim-based coupon mechanism itself. The ability to "tie coupons to customers" and "motivate repeat visits," which cannot be achieved with public coupons, proved effective regardless of country or language. Merchants who adopted it in overseas stores reported positive feedback on coupon acquisition rates and repeat visit rates, indicating that it was an app that "delivers results when used effectively."

In response to this feedback, we decided to rebrand from the Japanese name "Coupon.JP" to "ClaimCoupon" and expand globally.

Main Changes

Global Compatibility (Cross-border E-commerce Support)

ClaimCoupon supports multiple languages and can be used directly by stores engaged in cross-border e-commerce. The app's admin screen, storefront display, and customer account coupon page are all consistently localized.

Full Compatibility with New Customer Accounts

We are now fully compatible with the new customer accounts promoted by Shopify. We provide a dedicated coupon page within the customer's account, allowing them to check their claimed coupons at any time.

Coupon Creation Completed Within the App

With Coupon.JP, it was previously necessary to create coupons in Shopify's discount management screen and then register them in the app.

With ClaimCoupon, coupon creation can be completed entirely within the app. There is no longer a need to switch between the app and Shopify's discount management screen, significantly reducing setup effort.

Introduction of Campaign Functionality

We have introduced a "Campaign" feature that allows you to manage multiple app blocks together. We received feedback that meta objects were confusing, so now multiple app blocks can be dynamically managed in one place.

Reporting Functionality

You can now check the number of coupons acquired, usage rates, and contribution to sales on the report screen. This allows you to identify which coupons were effective based on data and apply these insights to future strategies.

Improved Display Speed

Server enhancements and communication improvements have increased the speed at which coupons are displayed on the storefront. The customer experience when claiming coupons is now smoother.

Improved UI/UX

We have completely revamped the design and usability of the admin screen. Coupon creation and management have been improved to be more intuitive.

For Existing Users

Stores that were using Coupon.JP can continue to use it as ClaimCoupon. The app name and URL have been changed.
