Because I know "when it will arrive," I can purchase with peace of mind.

Delivery Date Specification.JP

You can add a feature to your Shopify store that allows customers to choose their delivery date, from the cart page to checkout, thank you page, and their account page. This can be done per order or per item. It's compatible with both Shopify Plus and non-Plus plans.

"I don't know when it will arrive" is stopping sales.

Three Problems Faced by Stores That Cannot Specify Delivery Dates

"If I order today, when will it arrive?" Customers search for delivery information after adding items to their cart. If they can't find it, they can't click the purchase button with peace of mind. Especially for purchases where the delivery date is crucial, such as gifts or anniversaries, the inability to choose a delivery date itself can be a reason for abandonment.

Inquiries never stop

"If I order on Friday, will it arrive on Sunday?" "Can I specify a delivery time slot?" "I'd like to request a contactless delivery." Time that could otherwise be spent on product development or customer acquisition is instead consumed by answering the same questions. These are inquiries that would not have been necessary if customers could choose their own delivery dates.

Discrepancies between expectations and reality lead to complaints

If customers cannot specify a delivery date, they expect it to arrive quickly. If it doesn't, they leave negative reviews. This discrepancy between expectations and reality becomes even greater for direct-from-farm products or pre-order items with different lead times.

For both orders and products. Selectable specification method

For both orders and products. Selectable specification method

We will provide the optimal delivery method based on the contents of your cart.

Order-level specification

For general stores. Customers select one delivery date for the entire cart. If products have different lead times, the earliest possible delivery date will be automatically calculated based on the product with the longest lead time. Customers simply choose from the calendar without having to worry about complex details.

Product-level specification

For stores where products have different delivery dates, such as direct-from-farm products, pre-order items, and gifts. Individual delivery dates and times can be specified for each product. Time slots and drop-off options will automatically switch based on the delivery type.

Detailed settings for each delivery type

Yamato Transport, Sagawa Express, Nekoposu, Yu-Packet. You can set time slots, drop-off options, and lead times not just by carrier, but by "delivery type." This addresses the practical need for different settings between, for example, Yamato's Takkyubin and Nekoposu services.

You can choose where to display it according to the store.

For Plus or non-Plus members, display delivery date selection at the optimal time.

Checkout Page (Shopify Plus)

Displayed directly below the shipping option selection after the shipping address is confirmed. Shows the accurate shortest delivery date based on the address, and a warning if it's a remote island. This is the most accurate delivery date specification.

Cart Page (Available for non-Plus plans)

You can specify the delivery date before proceeding to checkout. Since the address is not yet confirmed, it will show an estimated date based on Tokyo standards, but the reassurance of being able to "choose a delivery date" is effective in preventing cart abandonment. It can be installed by simply adding a block from the theme editor.

Thank You Page

You can specify and confirm the delivery date after completing your order. For non-Plus stores, accurate delivery date specification based on the confirmed address is possible here. The design does not interfere with the checkout purchase flow.

My Account Page

If a customer decides they want a different delivery date after placing an order, they can change it themselves from their My Account page. As long as the order has not yet entered the shipping preparation stage, they can change it as many times as needed until the set cutoff time. No need to contact customer support.

"Delivered next day" badge

"Delivered next day" badge

Show "when it will arrive" on the product page to encourage purchases.

Delivery Estimate

The delivery estimate displayed on product pages, such as "Order by 3:00 PM for delivery as early as Saturday, February 1st," is automatically calculated based on the shipping method and lead time. By selecting a prefecture, the date will update to reflect the estimated delivery to that specific destination. This allows customers to check on their own, reducing inquiries.

Next-Day Delivery Badge

Products eligible for next-day delivery will automatically display a "Next-Day Delivery" badge. This allows you to highlight speedy delivery on product pages and collection pages. The badge's text, background color, and font color can be customized from the administration screen.

You can still make changes from My Page after placing your order.

Eliminate phone calls asking to change the date.

If a customer wishes to change the delivery date after placing an order, they can do so themselves from the order status in their customer account.

The deadline for changes can be set to "up to XX days XX hours before the scheduled shipping date," offering customers flexibility without impacting shipping preparations. Orders that have already been shipped automatically become unchangeable, which also prevents operational issues.

Do not limit options even on remote islands

We issue warnings, but we don't remove options.

Many delivery date specification apps hide delivery date options when they detect remote islands. However, there are cases where Yamato can deliver even if Sagawa cannot. Since the definition of remote islands differs for each shipping company, uniformly hiding delivery date options results in lost opportunities.

Delivery Date .JP displays a warning that "delivery may be delayed" for orders to remote islands, while keeping the delivery date options available. The design entrusts the decision to the customer.

Supports Japan Standard Time and Japanese holidays

Designed for Japan in ways foreign apps can't be

Operates precisely on Japan Standard Time (JST)

If you set "Orders placed by 3 PM ship the same day," it will switch over exactly at 3 PM JST. Apps made overseas often operate on UTC or PST, which can lead to unexpected cutoff times.

Automatically retrieves Japanese holidays

You don't need to manually set holidays like the Vernal Equinox Day and Autumnal Equinox Day, whose dates change each year, or substitute holidays. You can also configure whether holidays are treated as non-business days or regular business days.

Full support in Japanese

Both the admin screen and the delivery date selection UI are entirely in Japanese, so you won't get lost in the settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it without Shopify Plus?
Delivery date selection is available on the cart page and thank you page in stores other than Plus. In Plus stores, it can also be displayed on the checkout screen.
What happens to orders for which a delivery date was not specified?
It will be treated as "shortest delivery desired." Specifying a delivery date is optional, so even if a customer purchases without specifying one, it will not affect order processing.
Is it necessary to set up integrations with shipping carriers?
There is no direct integration with delivery company APIs. Instead, you register "delivery types" (e.g., Yamato Takkyubin, Nekoposu) in the admin panel and set lead times, time slots, and "leave at door" options for each. This system is compatible with any delivery company.
What if the lead time varies for each product?
You can set lead time groups for each product. For orders with multiple items, the earliest delivery date will be automatically calculated based on the item with the longest lead time in your cart. If you switch to per-item specification, you can select individual delivery dates for each product.
How do you set holiday closures for New Year's, Golden Week, and Obon?
You can set shipping holidays on the admin screen. Holidays are reflected in the business day calculation for shipping dates, and the earliest delivery date is automatically adjusted. Reception suspension periods by the shipping carrier can be set separately as "unavailable delivery dates" and will be unselectable on the calendar.
What is the difference between the Basic and Advanced plans?
All core functions for delivery date specification (date and time specification on cart, checkout, and thank you pages, time slot and unattended delivery, order management, and CSV) are available with the BASIC plan. The Advanced plan adds "delivery estimate" and "next-day delivery badge" on product pages, and the ability to change delivery dates from My Page.
